No, not a serious topic actually. Well, semi-serious... so how are you guys liking LE? It's quite an adjustment.

Also, apparently I broke the public forum cherry. I love you

Honestly, I believe it needs lots of work, esp. in the graphics department. Right now, it is reminiscent of certain games I used to play in the '80s on my Commodore 64, and later, on my Amiga 500. I think, in time, it could be better than CN, esp. if they include some random events and animations, but hey, they've just started.

IMHO, the only serious flaw so far is that it takes an awful lot of time to get an army, which is unrealistic -- you should at least be able to get some cheap militia. Also, it is unrealistic for the "progressions" to get more expensive the more of them you have. There is a number of things I'd do differently, for example, I'd introduce some graphical representations of buildings that you could actually see and admire, realistic maps (unlike those in the CN), penalties for long roads, road/trade blockades, simpler, easy to learn game mechanics, loans, deficits, some tactical deployment in battles etc. I would also introduce the ability to trade resources -- I'd sell excess useless food, but I'd hate to run low on it while in a war and being unable to buy some, even with a lot of gold. Then, if they want to simulate feudal lords, I'd introduce virtual (in-character) marriages, holding people prisoner for ransom etc. etc... these are just some of my observations Smile

On an unrelated note, I also think it doesn't require separate forums, like this one. We can do with the ones we have, with separate topics. This is admin-intensive and I was even proposing we fuse the existing NAC forums with the AAs we trust. Actually, I even had the idea of sharing the NoR Spamplatz with us, and call it "cultural exchange" but it proved to be a difficult thing to do. Our guys are working on a new NAC website now, so hopefully, at least some links might be activated there. We'll see What a Face

Not too bad I suppose. Clan organization is driving me insane. It's very tedious. Delegation FTW.

See, that's why I leave a good portion of the internal clan stuff to my directors. Work distribution ftw.
